Colombo: Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe has been taken into custody by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). He appeared at the CID headquarters this morning to provide a statement in connection with ongoing investigations.

According to News.LK, Wickremesinghe’s appearance followed a summons issued by the department, after which he was taken into custody.
