Colombo: A meeting between the spiritual leader of the Bohra community, His Holiness Dr Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin Saheb, and President Anura Kumara Dissanayake took place this afternoon at the Presidential Secretariat.

According to News.LK, more than one million members of the Bohra community reside in several countries, including India, Pakistan, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Sri Lanka, and Australia. His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin Saheb engaged in a discussion with President Dissanayake, commending the government’s programs aimed at achieving social and economic transformation in Sri Lanka. He also praised the comprehensive initiatives to combat illicit drugs and prevent fraud and corruption, extending his blessings for these efforts.

During the meeting, His Holiness briefed the President on the long-standing relationships between the Bohra community in Sri Lanka and other communities, as well as the community’s contributions to the country’s economy. President Dissanayake express
ed his appreciation for His Holiness’s visit to Sri Lanka and the positive impact of the Bohra community.

Present at the meeting were several leaders and representatives of the Bohra community, along with Deputy Speaker Rizvie Salih and Governor of the Western Province Hanif Yusoof, representing the Government of Sri Lanka.
