Colombo: Individuals who previously obtained fuel QR codes and continue to use the same vehicle and telephone number will be able to update their QR codes without any difficulty, according to Harsha Bandara, Director General of the Department of Government Information.

According to News.LK, the Director General issued a statement indicating that authorities are currently identifying issues faced by individuals whose vehicles or telephone numbers have changed, as well as those who have recently purchased new vehicles. He noted that steps are being taken to resolve these issues as quickly as possible to ensure that all eligible vehicle owners can access the fuel distribution system smoothly.

The Director General further stated that decisions regarding special requirements, including fuel supply for essential services and agricultural activities, are scheduled to be taken this evening. He added that the necessary measures will be implemented within today (15) to address these matters and ensure that the fuel distribution system functions effectively.
