Colombo: Maldives President, Mohamed Muizzu, is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka today on a state visit. He is visiting the island at the invitation of Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and is expected to remain in the country until May 6.
According to News.LK, during his visit, President Muizzu is set to hold bilateral discussions with President Dissanayake, focusing on further strengthening the long-standing friendship and cooperation between the two countries, as stated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In addition, six Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at enhancing cooperation between Sri Lanka and the Maldives are expected to be signed during the visit.
Meanwhile, the Police Media Division has announced that a special traffic plan will be in effect in and around Colombo from today until May 6 due to the state visit.
