Colombo: Showers or thundershowers are anticipated to occur intermittently across the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-western provinces, as well as in the Galle, Matara, Kandy, and Nuwara-Eliya districts.

According to News.LK, heavy rainfall of approximately 100 mm is likely in certain areas within the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, and in the districts of Galle, Matara, Kandy, and Nuwara-Eliya. Additionally, a few showers might occur in the Anuradhapura and Hambantota districts.

The forecast also indicates the possibility of strong winds, ranging from 40 to 50 kmph, particularly over the Western slopes of the central hills, Northern and North-central provinces, and in the Hambantota and Trincomalee districts. Other areas of the island may experience fairly strong winds of 30 to 40 kmph.
