Man Burned to Death in Magura Fire Incident


Magura: A 45-year-old man lost his life in a devastating fire that erupted at a residence in the Bhaina area of Magura district town on Monday. The tragic incident also left two individuals with burn injuries.



According to United News of Bangladesh, the deceased, identified as Kamrul Hasan Shiblu, was the son of Akbar Munshi from the same locality. Jahangir Ahmed, deputy assistant director of Magura Fire Service and Civil Defence, reported that the fire originated from a gas oven at Shiblu’s home around 9:45 am and rapidly engulfed the premises.



Upon receiving information about the blaze, a firefighting unit promptly arrived at the location and managed to extinguish the fire by 10:15 am. Sadly, they discovered Shiblu’s charred remains inside the house.



The fire also inflicted injuries on Shiblu’s wife, Shahnaz Parvin, 38, and their son, Mehrab Hasan Pratik, 20. In addition to the human toll, the fire destroyed valuables worth approximately Tk 10 lakh, including a television, refrigerator, and furniture.



Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun, Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station, stated that legal procedures are being conducted to determine the exact cause of Shiblu’s death.
