Father and Son Among Three Killed in Bogura Road Collision

Bogura: Three individuals, including a father and his son, lost their lives, while another person sustained injuries in a tragic accident when a truck collided with a stationary truck on the Dhaka-Bogura highway in the Sadar upazila of Bogura district.

According to United News of Bangladesh, the victims were identified as Taposh Sarkar, aged 35, who was driving the truck, and his son Tibro Sarkar, aged 18, both residents of the Sherpur upazila. The incident occurred early morning around 7:30 am in front of the Silimpur Pally Bidyut office on a flyover. A Rangpur-bound truck crashed into the stationary truck, which had stopped due to mechanical failure, resulting in the immediate deaths of three individuals and injuring another.

Sub-Inspector Manjur Morshed of Sadar Police Station reported that Taposh and his son were in the process of repairing a deflated tire on their truck when the collision occurred. Following the accident, a firefighting unit arrived promptly to recover the bodies from the scene.

The injured individual, identified as Nur Islam from Birampur of Dinajpur, was transported to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital for treatment.
