Colombo: The High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka, H.E. Mr. Santosh Jha, paid a courtesy call on the Defence Secretary, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd), at the Ministry of Defence on 14 August. The meeting centered on enhancing bilateral defence relations and preparing for the upcoming visit of the Indian Defence Minister to Sri Lanka.

According to Ministry of Defence – Sri Lanka, the discussion also touched upon various matters of mutual interest. Present at the meeting were the Defence Adviser and Assistant Defence Adviser of the High Commission of India in Colombo, indicating the importance of the dialogue in reinforcing defence cooperation between the two nations.
