Colombo: Showers are expected intermittently in the Sabaragamuwa province and the districts of Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle, and Matara. In the Western and North-western provinces, several spells of showers may occur.

According to News.LK, showers or thundershowers might develop in a few areas within the Uva province and the districts of Ampara and Batticaloa post 2.00 p.m. The forecast also predicts fairly strong winds ranging between 30-40 kmph at times over the North-central, North-western, Central, and Southern provinces, as well as in the Trincomalee District.

Residents are advised to take necessary precautions to minimize any potential damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
