It was a significant turnaround for the team, especially after being bowled out for 54 by a Cricket Australia XI in a tour match last week. In the first innings, Bangladesh bowled Australia out for 198 before amassing a formidable 426, taking a commanding 228-run lead. Tanzid Hasan marked a milestone with his maiden Test century, while Mehidy Hasan Miraz put up a solid 65.

Australia attempted a comeback in their second innings but were dismissed for 284. Mehidy Hasan Miraz was instrumental with five wickets, and Hasan Mahmud contributed three, leaving Bangladesh with a target of 57 runs to win. Hasan Mahmud’s performance was noteworthy as he took six wickets in Australia’s first innings, ending with nine wickets in the match overall.
