Colombo:Showers or thundershowers are expected to occur in several regions of Sri Lanka after 100 p.m. today. The Department of Meteorology has indicated that the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva, and Southern Provinces, along with the Ampara and Batticaloa districts, will experience these weather conditions.

According to News.LK, mainly fair weather is anticipated in the remaining areas of the island. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions to mitigate potential damage from temporary, localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Additionally, misty conditions are expected in the early morning hours in parts of the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, and Uva Provinces, as well as in the Kurunegala and Anuradhapura districts.
