Sri Jayewardenepura: A US National Defence University (NDU) delegation led by Admiral (Retd) Harry Harris called on the Sri Lankan Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd) at the Defence Ministry in Sri Jayewardenepura, Kotte today.

According to Ministry of Defence – Sri Lanka, after a warm reception, the Defence Secretary had a cordial discussion with the visiting US delegation. Mementos were also exchanged to mark the occasion, signifying the importance of the meeting.

Military Liaison Officer of the Sri Lankan Defence Ministry Air Vice Marshal Padman De Costa and Defence Attaché of the US embassy Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Nelson were also present at the occasion, highlighting the collaborative spirit of the event.

Subsequently, the US NDU delegation participated in an interactive and informative session at the Ministry Auditorium. This session was conducted with the involvement of the Deputy Military Liaison Officer Brigadier Nadeeka Kulasekara and Senior Assistant Secretary Ms. Ma
yuri Perera, further enhancing the engagement between the two countries.
