Colombo: President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has appointed Mr Anura Karunathilaka as the Minister of Energy. Mr Karunathilaka took his oath as the Minister of Energy this afternoon before the President at the Presidential Secretariat.

According to News.LK, Mr Karunathilaka will continue to hold his current positions as the Minister of Ports and Civil Aviation, in addition to his new role as Minister of Energy. The Secretary to the President, Dr Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, was also in attendance during the swearing-in ceremony.
