BNP to Hold Nationwide Doa and Milad for Khaleda Zia’s 81st Birth Anniversary

Dhaka: BNP will hold doa and milad mahfils across the country on Saturday to mark the 81st birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia.

According to United News of Bangladesh, the programme was announced in a press release signed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Friday morning. The doa and milad mahfils are scheduled to take place at party offices or mosques throughout the nation, with the central event in Dhaka commencing at 11:00 am at the party’s Nayapaltan central office.

The BNP has called on its leaders, activists, and associated organizations to participate in the commemorative events with due respect. Khaleda Zia, born on August 15, 1945, served as Bangladesh’s prime minister three times and remained the BNP chairperson until her passing on December 30 of the previous year.

Currently, Khaleda’s elder son, Tarique Rahman, is leading the BNP and serving as the Prime Minister after winning a mandate in the 13th parliamentary elections held in February this year.
