Colombo: The Defence Secretary, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd), attended as the Chief Guest at the launch of the book ‘National Security: Beyond 2030’ authored by Major General Harendra Parakrama Ranasinghe (Retd). The event was held at the Galle Face Hotel in Colombo yesterday.

According to Ministry of Defence – Sri Lanka, the book provides insights into evolving security challenges and strategic considerations for Sri Lanka beyond 2030. The launch ceremony included the author presenting the first copy of the book to the Defence Secretary, marking the official release of the publication.

The event was attended by the Commander of Sri Lanka, along with serving and retired senior officers from the tri-services, as well as many distinguished guests.
