Dhaka: Three people succumbed to dengue, and 805 new patients were admitted to hospitals across the country in the 24 hours until 8:00 am on Sunday. With these recent fatalities, the dengue death toll has surged to 70 in the country this year, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
According to United News of Bangladesh, the new deaths were reported in the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC). During the same period, 701 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovering from the disease.
Since January 1 this year, a total of 23,978 dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals nationwide. Out of these, 22,159 have recovered and been discharged, leaving 1,749 patients currently undergoing treatment.
