Colombo: Indian Navy submarine INS Vela arrived at the port of Colombo on Sunday (Nov 10) on a formal visit. The visiting submarine was welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) in compliance with naval traditions, SLN media says.

According to Ministry of Defence – Sri Lanka, INS Vela is a 67.5m long submarine with a crew of 53. While on the island, the crew will visit several tourist attractions in the country and it is scheduled to depart Colombo on November 13, it further says.
