COLOMBO: Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda, the newly appointed Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, made a courtesy call on the Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd), marking his first official meeting with the Deputy Minister since taking over as the 26th Commander of the Navy.
According to Ministry of Defence – Sri Lanka, the meeting took place in the office of the Deputy Minister. During the discussion, Major General Jayasekara congratulated Vice Admiral Banagoda on his new role and laid out several key priorities for the Navy under the Vice Admiral’s leadership.
