Colombo: The Sri Lankan government has embarked on an ambitious Dream Destination project to renovate 100 railway stations across the country, as announced by the Presidents Media Division (PMD) in a statement.
According to Nam News Network, the project was officially launched during a ceremony on Friday evening, attended by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake. During the event, the Road Safety Action Plan 2025-2026 was presented to President Dissanayake by Transport Minister Bimal Ratnayake.
The initiative seeks to establish a clean and appealing railway station network that prioritizes the safety and comfort of all passengers, including those with special needs, the PMD further noted.
