Pasay City: The Embassy of Sri Lanka in the Philippines, in collaboration with local distributors of premium Ceylon Tea brands including Dilmah, Basilur, and George Steuarts, showcased the allure of Sri Lankan tourism and products at the International Bazaar 2024. The event took place on November 3, 2024, at the World Trade Center in Pasay City, Philippines.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Sri Lanka, the Sri Lankan stalls were crafted to highlight not only the country’s tourism potential but also its unique cultural heritage through world-renowned products such as Ceylon tea, spices, wellness products, porcelain, and handicrafts. The stalls were officially opened by Enrique A. Manalo, Secretary (Minister) of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines, who served as the chief guest. The Mayor of Pasay City, Emi Calixto-Rubiano, honored the event as a guest of honor. Visitors to the Sri Lankan stalls were treated to freshly brewed Ceylon tea, offering a taste of the island’s famed hospitality.

tional Bazaar 2024 hosted nearly 40 countries, with over 50 local Philippine companies presenting crafts and various products. This year’s event carried the theme ‘Shop Global Help Local,’ emphasizing its role as an annual fundraising initiative organized by the International Bazaar Foundation, Inc. (IBF). In cooperation with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) of the Philippines, Diplomatic and Consular Corps of the Philippines, and Spouses of the Heads of Mission (SHOM), the bazaar aims to support livelihood and scholarship projects benefiting communities throughout the Philippines.
