Colombo: The Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd), and his spouse Mrs. Sujeewa Jayasekara, the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuiyakontha (Retd), along with the Chairperson of the Ministry of Defence Seva Vanitha Unit, Dr. Rasika Perera attended the ‘Symphony of Wings’ an evening of entertainment organized by the Sri Lanka Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit, held on 28 March 2026 at the Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre.

According to Ministry of Defence – Sri Lanka, this event was a fundraising effort in support of the welfare projects carried out by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, highlighting its ongoing work in community support and charitable activities.

The Commanders of the Army, Navy, Air Force, and past Commanders of the Air Force and their spouses attended the event.
