Colombo: Showers or thundershowers are expected to occur at several locations in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-western, and Eastern provinces, as well as in the Polonnaruwa, Galle, and Matara districts after 2:00 pm.

According to News.LK, there is a likelihood of fairly heavy falls exceeding 50 mm in some areas within the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, and in the Galle and Matara districts.

Morning showers are also anticipated in the coastal areas of the Western province and in the Galle and Matara districts. Additionally, fairly strong winds ranging from 30-40 kmph may occur at times over the Northern and North-central provinces and in the Hambantota district.

Misty conditions are expected in certain locations within the Central, Sabaragamuwa, and Uva provinces, along with the Ampara district, during the early morning hours. The general public is advised to take necessary precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
