Dhaka: A youth was fatally stabbed by some unidentified miscreants in the Hazaribagh area of the capital early Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Sagar Hossain Bullet, 28, a resident of Bhagalpur Lane in Hazaribagh.

According to United News of Bangladesh, auto-rickshaw driver Ibrahim, who took the victim to the hospital, discovered the injured man lying in a pool of blood near Hazaribagh Park around 2 am while returning to a garage after work. “I called 999. Police asked me to take him to DMCH,” Ibrahim stated.

Sagar was transported to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at around 5:30 am. The victim’s brother, Shawon, mentioned that they were informed about the incident by police and local residents.

Inspector Md Faruk, in-charge of the DMCH police camp, reported that the body has been kept at the hospital morgue for an autopsy and the matter has been communicated to the concerned police station.
