Colombo: Charg© d’Affaires of the Embassy of the United States of America in Sri Lanka, Ms. Jayne Howell, paid a farewell call on the Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd), today at the Deputy Minister’s office in Colombo.

According to Ministry of Defence – Sri Lanka, during the meeting, both parties exchanged views on matters of mutual interest, emphasizing the longstanding bilateral relations and defence cooperation between Sri Lanka and the United States. The Deputy Minister acknowledged Ms. Howell’s efforts in strengthening the bilateral relations during her tenure in Sri Lanka and extended his best wishes for her future endeavors.

Ms. Howell expressed gratitude for the cooperation and support she received during her tenure and highlighted the importance of continued engagement between the two countries. Defence Attach© of the US Embassy, Colonel Matthew House, was also present at the occasion.
