Colombo: The ‘Avurudu Gathering,’ organized by the Welfare Association of the Prime Minister’s Office, was held on April 25 at Temple Trees, with Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya presiding over the event. The gathering was marked by traditional games and cultural performances that spanned the day.

According to News.LK, Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya addressed attendees, extending New Year wishes and expressing her hopes for a peaceful and prosperous year ahead. She acknowledged the dedication and commitment of her team and encouraged them to continue their service for the benefit of the public. The Prime Minister conveyed her appreciation for the support provided in their service and wished everyone strength and courage to maintain their efforts.

The event saw the participation of key figures from the Prime Minister’s Office, including the Secretary to the Prime Minister, Mr. Pradeep Saputhanthri, along with Additional Secretaries, officers, and staff. The ‘Avurudu Gathering’ aimed to foster a sense of community and celebration among the office members.
