Colombo: A vital donation for Anuradhapura Central College was officially handed over to the Seva Vanitha Unit of the Ministry of Defence at the Ministry’s premises. This important event underscored the ongoing efforts to enhance educational resources for students.

According to Ministry of Defence – Sri Lanka, the donation was presented to Dr. (Mrs.) Ruvini Rasika Perera, President of the MOD Seva Vanitha Unit, by Mr. Rohan Fernando, Chairman of Trade Promoters Pvt Ltd, and Mr. Noel Joseph, Chairman of ‘Pride of Thurstan’. The presence of Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd) highlighted the significance of the occasion.

Dr. (Mrs.) Perera conveyed her appreciation to the donors for their assistance, emphasizing that such support greatly contributes to the MOD SVU’s mission of providing educational assistance and empowering the younger generation.

The donated items are expected to be delivered to Anuradhapura Central College soon, ensuring that the institution receives necessary res
ources for the current academic year. Senior officials of the Ministry of Defence and members of the Seva Vanitha Unit were also in attendance.
