Colombo: The Seva Vanitha Unit of the Ministry of Defence organized a special event today (26 March) to distribute packs of essential items to a group of expectant mothers, serving under MOD. The packs of essential items were distributed to 11 expectant mothers at the Seva Vanitha Office, as part of an initiative to support their health and well-being during pregnancy.

According to Ministry of Defence – Sri Lanka, the programme was led by the President of the MOD Seva Vanitha Unit Dr. (Mrs) Ruvini Rasika Perera, who highlighted the importance of extending care and assistance to mothers-to-be. Officials of the Ministry of Defence and members of the Seva Vanitha Unit were also present at the ceremony.
