Colombo: The Ambassador of Switzerland to Sri Lanka, Dr Siri Walt, met with the Chief of Staff to the President, Mr Prabath Chandrakeerthi, for a discussion this morning.
According to News.LK, the meeting addressed Sri Lanka’s current economic situation and the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Mr Prabath Chandrakeerthi highlighted Switzerland’s significant contributions over the past 70 years in strengthening Sri Lanka’s social and cultural sectors, notably through vocational training and improving living standards in the Northern and Eastern Provinces. He expressed gratitude for Switzerland’s continuous support.
Dr Siri Walt acknowledged Sri Lanka’s stance on the Middle East conflict and reaffirmed Switzerland’s commitment to supporting youth vocational training and enhancing living standards in Sri Lanka. Ms Justine Boillat, First Secretary (Political) at the Swiss Embassy, also attended the meeting.
