Colombo: The Seva Vanitha Unit (SVU) of the Ministry of Defence has distributed dry ration packs to the staff of the Ministry of Defence today at the SVU office, as part of a seasonal initiative aligned with the upcoming Sinhala and Hindu New Year.

According to Ministry of Defence – Sri Lanka, this initiative was organized under the supervision of Secretary Defence Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd) and the President of SVU, Dr. (Mrs.) Ruvini Rasika Perera. The programme aimed to extend support and goodwill to employees during the upcoming festive period.

More than 200 staff members of the Ministry of Defence benefited from this distribution, receiving essential dry ration packs intended to ease household expenses and promote a sense of appreciation and welfare among the Ministry personnel.
