Colombo: A special traffic plan will be implemented in Colombo and its surrounding areas on April 19 and 20 due to the official visit of Indian Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan, police said. The Vice President is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka tomorrow morning at Bandaranaike International Airport. He will then travel to Colombo via the Katunayake-Colombo Expressway.
According to News.LK, the motorcade is expected to pass through Grandpass, Orugodawatta Junction, Baseline Road, Borella Junction, D.S. Senanayake Junction, Horton Place, Nelum Pokuna Roundabout, Ananda Coomaraswamy Mawatha, Liberty Roundabout, and Galle Road before reaching the Taj Samudra Hotel.
Temporary road closures and traffic restrictions will be in place along these routes during the movement of the Vice President. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes to avoid inconvenience.
